Year 7 Experience the Magic of ‘Snow White’

Excitement and anticipation buzzed through the air as our Year 7 students headed to the Theatre Royal Plymouth to experience this year’s spectacular pantomime, Snow White – oh yes, they did! From start to finish, the trip was a resounding success, offering a delightful mix of laughter, music, and magic that only a traditional panto could deliver.

From the moment the curtain rose, the performance had the audience hooked. There was something for everyone: catchy songs, dazzling costumes, a flying sleigh, and, of course, plenty of chances to join in the fun. The theatre was filled with lively cheers, perfectly timed boos, and enthusiastic clapping, making the experience truly unforgettable.

“It was great! I thought it was so funny!” said one student, smiling. Another added, “I loved the flying sleigh; I’ve never seen anything like it!” Their excitement was shared by their classmates, who couldn’t stop talking about the highlights of the show.

For many Year 7s, this was more than just a school trip. For some, it was their very first time attending a professional pantomime, and for others, it marked their first visit to a theatre. This made the experience all the more special, opening their eyes to the magic of live performance and the joy of shared laughter.

Mr Oakes, Head of School, praised the students saying, “Their behaviour throughout the show was exemplary, and it was an absolute pleasure to see the joy in their faces throughout the performance. We continue to explore further enriching experiences for our students to support our commitment to be World Class.”

Ms Macmanus, Head of Year 7, added “Opportunities like this are so important and inspiring for our students, and it was a privilege to take them, along with the Year 7 pastoral team.”
