Festive Bake Sale: Tutor Group 9.9 Raises £50 for Children’s Hospice South West
Before Christmas, Tutor group 9.9 was eager to support Saltram’s chosen House Charity, Children’s Hospice South West, by organising a Christmas-themed bake sale to help raise funds. Each member of the group contributed their baking skills to make this event extra special.
Brooke worked alongside her nan to bake mince pies from scratch, crafting a delicious and traditional treat for everyone to enjoy. Meanwhile, Chelsea showcased her creativity with beautifully decorated shortbread biscuits that were both tasty and visually stunning. Adding to the variety, Jessica also baked some scrumptious flapjacks that quickly became a crowd favourite.
Mrs. Gigg and Mrs. Yates joined in the fun, showing off their baking talents by creating festive cupcakes adorned with holiday cheer and Mrs. Bevin contributed her homemade rocky road, a sweet treat that added even more choice to the delicious selection of baked goods.
Students from 9.9 took charge of running the bake sale during both breaks, encouraging others to help support the charity. Their teamwork and dedication made the event a resounding success. Thanks to the efforts of all the bakers and helpers, the group raised an impressive £50!
The bake sale was a fantastic achievement, and it was heart-warming to see the students come together to make a difference. Everyone in 9.9 should be incredibly proud of their efforts!
