Strong Performances at the ISCA Rugby 7’s Tournament
Our school had the privilege of sending two teams to the ISCA Rugby 7's Tournament in Exeter, where both our Year 8 and Year 9 teams demonstrated exceptional skill and determination. Both teams successfully made it through the group stages and advanced to the quarter-finals, with Year 9 winning all of their group matches.
Unfortunately, Year 9's journey came to an end in the quarter-finals after a tough loss to a strong Kingsbridge side. However, Year 8 continued their impressive performance, triumphing over St Peters and securing a spot in the next round.
Across both teams, a total of 9 matches were played, with an impressive 27 tries scored throughout the day. The top try scorers were Oscar in the Year 8 team and Jaxon in the Year 9 team, each showcasing remarkable talent. The Player of the Tournament award went to Theo, who stood out for his relentless efforts in defence and his ability to make powerful breaks down the touch lines, playing a key role in his team's success.
A huge well done to all the players. We look forward to more opportunities to compete and grow as a team in the future!
