The West Devon Cricket Foundation is delighted to announce a series of free cricket programmes in Plymouth designed to enhance skills and foster a deeper love for the game. If you’re a student passionate about cricket and eager to develop your abilities, these opportunities are perfect for you!

1. MCC Foundation Hub – Hardball Cricket Programme for Girls

This unique programme is crafted for girls attending state schools who are not currently part of the Devon Cricket pathway teams. It provides a welcoming and competitive environment to build hardball cricket skills and gain valuable experience. Key details include:

  • Who Can Join? Girls attending state schools in Plymouth who are not part of Devon Cricket's pathway teams.

  • Duration: 10-week programme.

  • Start Date: January.

  • Location: Millbay Academy, Plymouth.

This initiative offers structured, enjoyable, and high-quality coaching, allowing young female cricketers to refine their skills in bowling, batting, and fielding, while connecting with a supportive cricket community.

2. Chance to Shine Street – Tape Ball Cricket for Ages 11-16

The Chance to Shine Street programme is open to everyone aged 11-16 and provides an exciting way to experience cricket using a tape ball. This programme is perfect for those who may not typically have access to cricket clubs. Key details include:

  • Who Can Join? Anyone aged 11-16.

  • Start Date and Time: Thursday, 21st November from 4:45-5:45 PM.

  • Location: Millbay Academy, Plymouth.
