Year 7 Students Enjoy a Memorable Big Day Out at Mount Edgcumbe
Last week, the Year 7 house teams set off on an exciting adventure, boarding the Cremyll ferry to Mount Edgcumbe for their annual "Big Day Out." The day was filled with fun outdoor activities designed to encourage teamwork and a sense of adventure.
Upon arrival, the students immediately got involved in a series of team-building exercises. A highlight of the day was a nature walk, where students participated in a scavenger hunt, searching for various natural objects hidden amongst the beautiful surroundings. Their competitive spirits were further tested in a variety of games, challenging both their physical abilities and strategic thinking.
Down by the beach, students went rock pooling in search of fascinating sea creatures and took part in a friendly competition to build the tallest rock tower. The winning team managed to stack an impressive 27 stones!
A big congratulations to all the Year 7 students who fully engaged in and enjoyed the day’s activities. The Big Day Out was a fantastic way to kick off the year, setting a positive tone for teamwork, cooperation, and fun!
