We welcomed Cllr Sue McDonald, Plymouth City Council Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, to one of our regular croquet sessions with residents from city care homes, many of whom are living with dementia.

"It's been wonderful to see students and their visitors interact in such a fun and meaningful way," she said.

As well as croquet there was also tea, cake and some singing too!

"I really love it because it's so nice to see everyone smiling," said student Ethan, who is in Year 7.

Through Hoops To Hope was born when James Creasey's father, Maxwell, was diagnosed with dementia and he and his brother Andrew began to search for an enjoyable way for them to spend time together.
