Exeter Scholars Visit
28 January 2019
Ambassadors from the University of Exeter visited the College to share an exciting opportunity available to students in Year 10. Exeter Scholars is a free programme allowing students the chance to develop their knowledge and understanding of what it is like to study at University. Successful applicants will participate in a number of activities including an all-expenses paid residential trip to the university, academic support in Year 11, the possibility to continue through to Year 12 and 13 where students select a specialist subject and engage in a range of hands-on activities and trips. Students found the programme exciting and asked many questions about the process. Luke in Year 10 was particularly interested in the whole student life experience, but especially the mock lessons which the programme offers. Stoke Damerel have already secured four places for Year 10 students and we look forward to seeing how they progress through this opportunity.
