 Our annual School Direct Open Day is on Wednesday 8 November for anyone interested in applying for a place on our School Direct training programme 2018-19. The day will run from 10am-3pm here at Stoke Damerel Community College.

Applications open on 26 October 2017 to commence in September 2018

 We will be recruiting for training places in English, Maths, Chemistry, History and Computer Science.

School Direct is a replacement for the Graduate Teacher Programme and allows schools to train teachers in school in the way that they want.

"School Direct is a great way to enter the teaching profession - it offers a personalised route where trainees can build on their past experiences working with young people," said Kathryn Noble.

 "We offer highly-skilled mentors and a thorough programme of support which prepare our trainees for a rewarding future career.

All positions at Stoke Damerel Community College are salaried.

Stoke Damerel Community College's School Direct programme is run in partnership with University College Plymouth St Mark & St John and will lead to Qualified Teacher Status for teaching in secondary schools.
