School Direct is a replacement for the Graduate Teacher Programme and allows schools to train teachers in school in the way that they want.
"School Direct is a great way to enter the teaching profession - it offers a personalised route where trainees can build on their past experiences working with young people," said Fiona Osmaston, the College's School Direct professional tutor.
"We offer highly-skilled mentors and a thorough programme of support which prepare our trainees for a rewarding future career.
All positions at Stoke Damerel Community College are salaried.

Stoke Damerel Community College's School Direct programme is run in partnership with University College Plymouth St Mark & St John and will lead to Qualified Teacher Status for teaching in secondary schools.
