Are you thinking of training to become a teacher? Come along to the School Direct Open Day at Stoke Damerel Community College Friday 4 November from 9.30am-3pm.
Stoke Damerel is offering salaried placements in the following subjects English, Maths, Physics, Art and Design and Geography.
School Direct is a replacement for the Graduate Teacher Programme and allows schools to train teachers in school in the way that they want.
"School Direct is a great way to enter the teaching profession - it offers a personalised route where trainees can build on their past experiences working with young people," said Fiona Osmaston, the College's School Direct professional tutor.
"We offer highly-skilled mentors and a thorough programme of support which prepare our trainees for a rewarding future career.
"The Open Day day will include a tour, meeting students, visiting faculty areas as well as advice about how to apply to become a trainee."
All the positions at Stoke Damerel Community College are salaried.

Stoke Damerel Community College's School Direct programme is run in partnership with University College Plymouth St Mark & St John and will lead to Qualified Teacher Status for teaching in secondary schools.
