Year 7 students attended intergenerational bowls sessions with people living with dementia.
We had a class of 25 attend regular bowling sessions, the students were incredible and loved every minute of it.
They were upset when some sessions were cancelled because of illness.
It was good to see young people and old people bonding, breaking generational divides.
The project was such a success that we have decided to continue with a monthly sports session with Year 7 and elderly people, including people living with dementia.
The next sport we are playing is croquet, working with a charity called Jiminy Wickett.
