A group of College staff who have been meeting to train each week are taking part in a fundraising run in Cornwall - and you can sponsor them.

The team of seven - made up of Mrs Moorcroft, Mrs Newton, Miss Lewin, Mrs Ware, Mrs Miller, Mrs Ralphs and Mrs Hardie - have named themselves the Rainbow Warriors.

They will be taking part in the 5K Rainbow Run at RAF St Mawgan  on 26 June to raise funds for Childrens Hospice South West.

"As a group we have been taking part in fitness sessions every Friday after school," explained Textiles teacher Mrs Moorcroft.

"Activities have included kickboxing, Pilates, Royal Marine circuits and assault courses, weights and general fitness sessions.

"The workouts have helped create a confident and ambitious team ready to take on new challenges.  We all support each other with personal targets and it has been a great morale boost for many of us."

The participants in Sunday's run are encouraged to wear white and there are colour stations along the route where powder paint is thrown at the runners.
