Two Sixth form students are off to Ghana to volunteer teaching English to young children in a local school - here's how you can help.

Jake explained what he and fellow Year 12 student Olive will be doing.

"We will be volunteering in the city of Kumasi for three weeks.

As can be expected for a trip of this scale, there have been many costs which we have had to cover to allow us to embark on this journey.

As well as raising money by working, at the weekends and during the holidays, we have also taken to fundraising with one of our main sources being the crowdfunding website GoGetFunding.

Through this website we have managed to share what we are doing, our reasons why and what we hope to achieve, with the hope that we might be able to persuade individuals to donate whatever they can in order to help us achieve our fundraising goals.

Over the past few months we have managed to raise a lot more than expected, however we still have some way to go.

It is for this reason that we ask if you might consider donating to our funds, no matter how much, as well as sharing the funding pages, in order to raise as much possible in these last few weeks before we depart.
We will be so grateful for any help or donations that we may receive and promise that it will all be going towards a good cause.
