The father of a Year 8 Netball player has generously sponsored their new kit - and the team have even designed it themselves.

Darren Davis, owner of Twenty 5 Menswear,  is father of Year 8 Izabel and the players and parents all created their own designs using the online kit designer from AGAME, before the final decision was made.

"We are very grateful to Mr Davis and it was great to see team play in their new kit this weekend at their PGL Netball Tournament in Swindon," said Miss Le Page.

"We had many compliments from different teams, one of the England Netball umpires even said we had the best kit he’d seen!"

The Year 8 team are currently sitting second out of 11 teams in the Plymouth and District Junior Netball League, with only two games left to play.

The Year 7 team managed to reach the semi-final of the PGL Netball Tournament - on 5 and 6 March 2016 - narrowly missing out to a Welsh team who then went on to win the tournament.

"The Year 8s came up against some very tough opposition this year but they played exceptionally well in every game," said Miss Le Page.

"They ended up coming fifth out of the eight teams in their group.

"Both teams were a pleasure to take to the tournament - we all enjoyed the snow during breakfast on Saturday morning, and playing netball in -2 conditions.

And the Year 10 and 11 Netball teams had their end of season netball tournament at the Life Centre on 16 March 2016.

"Out of all the schools in Plymouth our Year 10 team came third, only losing to overall winners Plymstock and our own Year 11 team," said Miss Le Page.

"The Year 11s came second, only losing to Plymstock. Both teams played some absolutely stunning netball, and it was nice to see their hard work and commitment to training, not just this year,  but throughout the years, paying off.

"It was an emotional event for the Year 11s as this was their final time playing together as a team, and what a way to go out.

"The girls were a real pleasure to watch, roll on next season!"
