battle of the bands 16

The College's singers, bands and musicians are being asked to register for this year's Battle of the Bands.

This year's competition will be held in the Main Hall On Wednesday 9 March 2016 between 2 and 3pm.

"Much like last year's event, bands will be expected to perform two songs to a panel of judges and an audience," explained Music teacher Mr Crocker, who organises the event.

"Acts have already started to rehearse and there are a few weekly rehearsal slots for bands who wish to be involved."

Anyone who is interested in performing should contact Mr Crocker to book a rehearsal slot.

The competition is available to bands/duos and soloists.

Last year's Battle of the Bands winners performed at a local festival and the year before that the successful performers had their winning song released for download.

Performers wishing to take part in the 2016 Battle Of The Bands need to contact Mr Crocker quickly in order to register themselves.
